Prayer Request for Ken Schoening

Stacey Lane asks for prayers for her dad, Ken Schoening, who is undergoing a valve replacement Friday afternoon on his heart.

[Stacey reports on Tuesday: dad is going to pull through! He had a valve replacement Friday evening and was moved out of critical care yesterday and into a regular room (he's very excited to have his cell phone back!). Thank you so very much for the prayers and good thoughts!]

Worship This Sunday

The Rev. David Beckett will be our guest in worship this morning. Please come and meet our new superintendent!

Let the people of God proclaim that God is in our hearts in this place!

God is here! The risen Christ is indeed in this place! The spirit of God fills our hearts and our world! We live in the grace of God!

Surrounded by the symbols of our faith, seated beside sisters and brothers in Christian fellowship, listening to God’s word, and praying for God’s children, we proclaim our faith this day.

The table is set, and we are invited to supper with God. We come to be fed and nourished by the one who calls us here. Fill us with your spirit, O God, as we worship you in this place. Amen.

Prayer Request – Eric

Please hold Eric in your prayers. Eric is a loved one of Angelina, one of the residents of Wesley Rehab Center. Eric is 28 years old and has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Prayers for Bruce Knofel and family…

Dear ones, tragedy has struck our community again, as many of you have already heard. Ann and Bruce Knofel were struck on the Seward highway at mile 88 Sunday evening. Ann was killed at the scene. Bruce is recovering with non-life threatening injuries at Providence CCU in Anchorage. The Knofels are members of Resurrection Lutheran Church. Ann was employed as the school psychologist. Her death will impact our community in myriad ways. Please be in prayer through these hard times for their families and friends.
