ONLINE WORSHIP FOR
AUGUST 30, 2020
Out of an abundance of care and caution, the people of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Moose Pass United Methodist Church, and Seward United Methodist Church continue to bring you an online worship experience. Even as we move toward gathering together, carefully, we recognize that it is safer for many to continue with “virtual worship.”
Today, Rev. Ben Bohart brings us the story of “The Burning Bush” as we get farther along into Exodus. Rev. Jim Doepken provides the children’s sermon and prayers. As usual, Scriptures are read by some of our members and friends. And today we even have a bell ringer.
There are some “Thank Yous” that we need to offer for the service today:
Thank you to Rev. Willie Deuel, for his guitar-playing today. You’ll hear a version of “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” as worship opens and an instrumental called “Bless the Lord, My Soul” during our prayers of intercession after the sermon. You can find more of his music on SoundCloud (soundcloud.com/williedeuel).
Thank you to Resound Worship (www.resoundworship.org) and musician Joel Payne for their song “In the Name of God the Father.” Resound Worship has graciously allowed for their music to be used during this time of social distancing.
Thank you to Nathan Drake (reawakenhymns.com). Nathan has provided versions of public domain songs for churches to use at this time. Today you’ll hear (and hopefully sing along to) “Rock of Ages” and “I Surrender All.”
Thanks, as usual, to Sue McClure for pre-worship music that is provided as a separate video upload on the Seward/Moose Pass UMC Facebook page.
Worship will “Premiere” on the Seward/Moose Pass UMC Facebook page at 10:30 AM on Sunday but will then be available on the Facebook Page and our YouTube Channel for you to watch when you are able.
